Now that Lexington AND Louisville have banned smoking, WHO do you think is going

to make up the economic losses in Kentucky's economy?  Yup, ALL the TAXPAYERS.

All the ETS (Environmental Tobacco Smoke) studies show NO LINK with diseases.  The World Health Organization's study showed 22% LESS lung cancer among those whose PARENTS SMOKED!  LIES are being told about risks & BENEFITS of smoking.

We all should know that one of the slickest ways to lie is to do it with statistics (See Epidemiology 101 & 102), yet there actually has been quite a bit of decent science done.  Smoking is possibly one of THE MOST STUDIED phenomena anywhere, anytime.  I have been LOOKING at the studies this past few weeks, and found that NONE of the ETS studies shows any significant risks AT ALL - and 30 of them show NEGATIVE 'risk' - POSSIBLE BENEFIT!  They are LYING about the studies, because I guess they just don't show what the nico-nazis want them to show. NEW: The World's Oldest People are ALL SMOKERS : )

As far as studies of effects on SMOKERS, they also do NOT PROVE CAUSE of ANYTHING.  There does seem to be some higher risk of lung cancer.  But there is a LUNG CANCER GENE.  Also, I was SURPRISED to see that MANY of the studies show BENEFITS - including studies, with STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT (something very uncommon in these studies) and CONSISTENT results, showing that ASBESTOS workers who smoked had LESS LUNG CANCER than non-smokers.  There IN FACT is a HUGE LIST of MEDICAL PROBLEMS - INCLUDING OTHER CANCERS - THAT SMOKERS HAVE LESS OF - possibly enough to OFFSET the somewhat higher risk of lung cancer.  This would account for my finding that (contrary to what you would think from what we all constantly hear), SMOKERS HAVE on average ABOUT THE SAME LIFE EXPECTANCY as non-smokers.  Also, lung, esophageal, throat, and mouth cancer - which I always hear blamed ONLY on smoking actually seems to have much lower corelation with smoking than with ALCOHOL.  The propaganda people have reported the risk of lung cancer in such a way as to EXAGERATE it, and NOT reported on ANY of the BENEFITS.  Your DOCTOR may be telling you the OPPOSITE - but the studies at the following link show (among other things) SMOKERS have

All these lies about smoking are having many BAD effects.  There are huge social costs, economic costs, and we are losing our freedoms.  But that's not the worst.

Your tax $ are being used to tell kids cigarettes are more dangerous & addictive than heroin.  NOW Kids Heroin Use is UP 800% & inhalant abuse is up 1,800%  I wonder just how many of these are kids, who otherwise might have (in relative saftey) satisfied themselves with experimenting with cigarettes, believed this lie?  and figured, since they've seen all kinds of folks walking around smoking for years, and NOT dropping like flies, that, what the hey - heroin can't be that bad.

Folks, I know we are all busy, and hate to be bothered.  But this whole anti-tobacco WITCH HUNT - yes, that's ALL it is - is NOT GOING AWAY. It is ESCALATING!!!

We HAVE to WAKE UP, and at least LEARN WHAT's GOING ON.

OR we are going to wake up one day soon to FULL PROHIBITION - & it WON'T be PRETTY.  I, for one, learning what i've learned have decided I AM NOT going to quit smoking.  With my own family history, it would not make sense.  We have no lung cancer in our family, and a 1/2 dozen of those other problems that SMOKERS have LESS of.  And I PREFER not to have to buy my cigs from a bootlegger.

We have GOT to GET INFORMED, and START FIGHTING BACK!

I've come to another conclusion.  Those few NEUROTICS who seem to believe they are going to die if they can smell the slightest whiff of tobacco smoke from 400 yards away out doors are a genetic anomally.  I can't figure out how their ancestors managed to survive to produce them, when throughout almost all of human history there has been NO SUCH THING as 'smoke free air'-until about the past 10 years.  Ever since humans learned to make and keep fire, the entire human race heated and cooked with WOOD and COAL.  In some cultures they STILL burn DUNG.  After people started using electricity in this country, almost 1/2 the population smoked - until about the past 10 years.
