Joshua and Precious started their show careers at 9 months old.  We will probably wait till they mature some more before they do much more showing, but we did have FUN.  We will continue to take them to matches till they grow up a bit more.

Birmingham KC, April 20, 2001 Joshua won HIS very first point, and also was BOB!  He beat his very worthy 1/2 brother Moses, too.  The judge was Dr. Robert J. Berndt. *** On April 22 at Birmingham KC, Joshua was Reserve Winner's Dog - handled by Rose Farley (13 years old).  The judge was Mrs. Patricia A. Gellerman.

6/10/01 Edwin handled 'Joshua' to RWD at Shenandoah Valley KC, VA, Judge Mrs. Carol Duffy.

6/8/01 Edwin won Hound Group I at the Skyline KC, VA Match with 'Joshua' !  This was a large match and a large group.

On August 31, 2001, Rose Farley won the Novice Jr. class at the Greater Detroit Afghan Hound Specialty Show, handling Joshua.  The Jr. Handling judge was Shelly Hennessey.  She also got 1st place in the American Bred class with him.  The judge (dogs) was Georgiana Guthrie.  There is are beautiful photos of them on Rose's Junior Handling Page.

11/5/99. (BRAG : ) at Chattanooga KC, TN, 'Joshua',  won his first (and Hosanna's VERY FIRST EVER : ) MAJOR RESERVE WINNER'S DOG.  He was only 11 months old, and won the puppy class (with competition!) handled by our then 11 year old daughter, Rose Farley, who had only been in the show ring for the first time the day before.  He was handled by me (breeder/owner & novice handler) in Winner's Class.  Our competition  included multiple and major pointed adult dogs, as well as several top Afghan Hound professional handlers who have won National Specialties!  Our great appreciation to Judge Mr. Joseph E. Gregory for noticing our fine puppy in spite of our handling inexperience.  : )

Joshua's name was inspired by a few of our own Afghan Hound breed people who made quite a fuss when this litter was whelped.  They know who they are.  Please come back again and follow his career.  We usually add new photos and information at the tops of pages to save our return visitors time.

In October, 2002, Joshua went with us to the National Specialty Show at the Illinois Beach Resort in Illinois.  Rose won her class in Junior Handling, and participated in the Liberty Class with him.  For Photos and Details CLICK HERE

Our severe budget challenges have prevented us from going to very many shows the past couple of years.  (see Juniors page, A Plea For Mercy).  Joshua has been Rose's special buddy since he was born, and now she co-owns him.  Joshua has been quite slow to mature, and they've grown up together.

In August, 2007, Joshua FINISHED HIS Championship in Albert Lea, MN, with his third major, a 5 pointer! See latest info on our History page
