We put our line bred CH Hosanna Voices Of The Wind ("Ringer") with our new SPICE girl, "Spicy", Spicy Essence Of Blessings. Her grandpa was Hosanna Light Unto My Path (CH Hosanna White Lightning X GCHS CH Hosanna Love Unfailing). Some of her grandsire's littermates are our GCH CH Hosanna Love The Light ("Passion"), and their brother, CH Hosanna My Light Shines On ("Rajah"). There are several new to us lines in this new pedigree (Ringer X Spicy) which, though lightly line bred, is only 9/16 Hosanna breeding. The inbreeding coefficent for this litter is MEDIUM. This is only the 2nd litter sired by Ringer. His first effort produced the current Youngest CH In the History of This Breed, "Lightning", CH Hosanna Call Down The Thunder On Shining Mountain, owned by Brian Wood. Lightning finished his Championship at only 6 months and 15 days old, OWNER HANDLED, with 3 days in a row of 5 point majors, one of those a BOB over a special! Ringer's sire was "Reaper", CH Hosanna Reap The Whirlwind, a brother of "Cat", Am/Can CH Hosanna's Bold Lioness, a foundation bitch for Brian Wood's Shining Mountain Afghan Hounds. Ringer's mom was "Diva", CH Hosanna Love Divine, sister or our "Eli", GCH CH Hosanna Perfect Will.

I have been line breeding on "Alf" (Alfadeus Abdul Kamahl) and "Cassie" (Scharlau Sandcastle II) for nearly 20 years now. And, we've also line bred on our other 2 foundation bitches for years. So far, none of the puppies we have produced has suffered from Chylothroax, or lung or stomach torsion. There are NO TESTS for these especially horrible problems. And they ARE genetic, and running in some lines, but not so much in others. At this point, I am daring to hope those genes are NOT here. We also have never yet produced any with HD, or other serious genetic issues.
